This is the official web presence of the politically active Yeung family of Lakewood (just west of Cleveland), Ohio.
Mama Ahmie (pronounced AH-me) and firstborn son William are both collecting signatures to appear on the Lakewood ballot in 2023. Ahmie’s campaign website is ElectAhmie.com and William’s is Yeung4All.com -those are managed by their campaigns, this is just the family-run website.
William is seeking to put the skills he obtained from earning a Bachelors in Organizational Leadership before turning 18 to use for the common good by becoming the youngest mayor ever elected to a city in Ohio (his 19th birthday was May 26, 2023) and Ahmie is finally heeding the consistent nudging she’s been getting for about a decade to put her name in for School Board now that her youngest child (of five) is school age. The younger children (entering grades 11, 8, 5, and 2 in the fall) are competitive campaign lit droppers and actively engaged in community life in many ways. Our whole family is committed to increasing accessibility and inclusion in civic engagement opportunities as primary goals of these candidacies and everything else in life, as well as encouraging more young people and parents to engage in our democratic processes.
